The physically active women

For the athletes and sportive women, cell oxygenation is paramount and iron allows blood to carry oxygen. Iron deficiency is a permanent risk for them, particularly those who practice endurance sports. This lack of iron may cause weakness, anemia, fatigue and decreased performance. The causes of "sports anemia" can then come from a low iron diet. For endurance athletes intake is often deficient. The reason is simple: a diet low in calorie or qualitative selection of food (studies have shown that athletes with low iron stores tend to eat very little meat), a diet low in copper. Indeed, copper and iron are two minerals with strongly related dynamics.
